Sustainability

At Coplan Vineyards, sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s the foundation of how we farm, how we craft wine, and how we care for our people. From regenerative farming to traditional winemaking, every decision we make is rooted in respect for the land and those who tend it. We believe that healthy soil, honest craftsmanship, and a strong community are what make great wine—and that protecting all three ensures the story of Coplan continues for generations to come.

Practices We Stand By

Woman-Owned & Led

Founded by Carole Coplan with winemaking led by Jacqueline Yoakum, our team is proudly guided by women at every stage.

Minimal Carbon Footprin

Our vineyard and winery are less than a mile apart. During harvest, the fruit travels by tractor, not truck.

Estate-Grown

Our wines are made from fruit grown exclusively on our own vineyard or from other single vineyard sources. This ensures complete transparency and terroir-driven expression in every bottle.

Sustainable Cooperage

We use French oak from cooperages certified by PEFC and Bureau Veritas, ensuring our barrels are sourced from responsibly managed forests.

We farm organically (not certified) and regeneratively—minimizing tractor use and tending every vine by hand to support soil health and biodiversity.

Our wine labels are printed on FSC-certified recycled paper, and our bottles use domestic glass. Natural corks are sourced from zero-carbon, sustainably harvested forests.
